Lince Dorado Reflects On Beef With Izzy's Dad
Toward the end of 2021, former WWE luchador Lince Dorado became embroiled in a bizarre real-life feud with WWE Universe member Cody Silagyi, (the father of Izzy, the Bayley superfan who became a minor celebrity due to her regular front-row appearances at Full Sail University).
The whole thing started when Silagyi mocked Lince Dorado immediately after the latter was released by WWE. "Good Luck in your future endeavors," Silagyi told Lince in a tweet that is now unreadable due to Silagyi deactivating his Twitter account. Tensions escalated whenDorado screenshotted Silagyi's initial tweet and took to Twitter to invite Silagyi to a show, presumably to see if Silagyi was brave enough to insult Lince face-to-face.
During a recent chat with Renee Paquette on The Sessions, Dorado opened up about the beef and shared his version of the events as well as what motivated him to call Izzy's dad out.
"I know what it’s like to stand up to bullies. Like, I’ll be your bully stand. I’ll be your shield. I got you.’ This guy is done really being a piece of sh-t, not only to me but to all my friends and to wrestling in general," Dorado recalled. "I don’t want to go to a show and be like ‘oh my God, this a**hole is here. No. Let’s nip it in the bud. Let’s talk, let’s just have a conversation because I’m not going to come into the same room with you and be fake with you.'”

After getting called out, Silagyi attempted to squash the beef. During the aforementioned interview on The Sessions, Dorado explained why he decided to let it go.

“Then this dude messaged me the same apology he put out on Twitter and I said ‘no, you’ve got to talk to me in my face. This bulls**t, I don’t have words, I don’t have words through conversation, or text," Dorado said. Come talk to me like a man to my face.’ And then he wrote ‘#apology’ and he put it out there and deleted his social. At the end of the day, I was like ‘one for the good guys. F**k that bully. We’re done with him.’ I just never brought it up again because it’s not worth it.”
Dorado also said that he bore no ill-will toward Izzy and clarified that he wants to see her succeed in spite of her father's actions.
It wasn't the first time Silagyi had landed himself in hot water with an in-ring performer. As we previously reported, Silagyi is allegedly responsible for the booing campaign aimed at NXT star MSK (Wes Lee & Nash Carter).
